One of the largest car manufacturing facilities in the country, this campus contains a single structure that houses the entire production flow from press shop to paint shop. The building adheres to VW’s stringent safety and sustainability standards and has large warehouse spaces, an office and restaurant, training centres and heavy utilities.
The campus was built on an unusual site; two large hillocks had to be leveled before construction began. In addition, the master plan had to take into account the heavy engineering utilities required for the building and the storm water drainage for such a large area. Matching VW’s reputed speed of production and working around the language barrier, the campus was completed in record time.
